Accessibility Statement

We believe that every child deserves the chance to participate fully in our Weekend Club, regardless of ability or background.

1. Physical Accessibility

  • Venues are chosen with accessibility in mind, including level entrances, accessible toilets, and safe indoor play areas.

  • Reasonable adjustments will be made to enable participation (e.g., adapted equipment, furniture layouts).

2. Learning & SEND Inclusion

  • Activities are designed with flexible outcomes, so every child can participate at their own pace.

  • Visual timetables, sensory resources, and differentiated instructions are provided where needed.

  • Staff receive SEND awareness training, including autism-friendly and ADHD-friendly strategies.

3. Communication with Families

  • Parents can request information in large print, alternative languages, or simplified formats.

  • Staff are trained in Makaton and visual support strategies for children with communication needs.

4. Financial Accessibility

  • We aim to keep costs fair and transparent.

  • Where possible, we will signpost families to local childcare funding or support services.

5. Commitment to Equality

We welcome children of all abilities, faiths, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Our club is committed to the Equality Act 2010 and ensures no child or family is discriminated against.
